Terms of Service

1. Service description

KnownBase provides AI-powered institutional memory for team communication platforms (Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord). The service processes messages from approved channels to build knowledge graphs, expertise profiles, and decision histories.

2. Your data

You retain full ownership of your data. We process it solely to provide the service. We do not sell, share, or use your data for any purpose other than operating KnownBase for your workspace. See our Privacy Policy for details.

3. AI output disclaimer

KnownBase uses AI to extract knowledge and answer questions. While we employ a 4-stage verification pipeline to minimize errors, AI-generated responses may contain inaccuracies. KnownBase should not be used as the sole basis for critical business decisions without human verification.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use KnownBase to: monitor individual employee productivity, make hiring/firing decisions based solely on AI output, process data from channels without appropriate authorization, or circumvent platform (Slack/Teams) terms of service.

5. Billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually per active user. You may cancel at any time. Refunds are provided pro-rata for annual plans cancelled within 30 days.

6. Service availability

We target 99.9% uptime for paid tiers. Enterprise tier includes SLA with defined response times. See Security for infrastructure details.

7. Termination

Either party may terminate with 30 days notice. Upon termination, all workspace data is deleted within 30 days. You may request a data export before termination.
